Lisa C. Ward, Managing Partner

lisasbiopic

One of few women in her graduating class at the University of Michigan Law School, Ms. Ward is not afraid to accept new challenges. She began her career in Washington, D.C. as an Associate at one of the city’s largest firms, but left soon after for more challenging work as a Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Justice. In 1987, she returned to Michigan as Assistant Attorney General. For over 15 years, she successfully defended cases for Michigan Department of Attorney General, including two class action suits that went before the Sixth Circuit and Supreme Court.

In 2008, Ms. Ward began her own practice, bringing 30 years of experience as an Attorney to the areas of labor law, employment discrimination and civil rights. Her practice remains flexible: Ms. Ward has negotiated real estate contracts, settled in medical malpractice suits and set precedent in the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
